Friend.

Last night I stayed up until almost two am in the wee hours of the morning helping my brother out in a massive translation which he had to send still that night. The technical jargon made my head spin and wonder if all those letters put together were even really English. I woke up at 5:15 am, dragging myself from bed and knowing that I'd be late for my first class at the company.. 
1st class:7:00 - 8:00 am
2nd class: 9:30 - 11:30 am
3rd class: 12:00 - 2:00 pm
4th class: 2:00 - 3:30 pm
Arrived home at 4:30 pm starved from not having had a single thing to eat since I left home early in the morning. After showering I opened my laptop to quickly check my emails since my next class would start at 7:00 pm and I would only be home by 10:30 pm. My head was spinning. My legs were aching. My to-do list seemed endless and I was just having what I call a "dead dog day". When lo and behold, out pops this email that a friend sent me written the following:

Friend.

A true friend is the one who will never lie,
she'll always be there even though you might cry.
A true friend will always care,
a true friend won't be afraid to share.
A true friend will always wait around,
a true friend will be there when you frown.
A true friend will find you when you're lost,
a true friend will do whatever, no matter the cost.
A true friend will love you when you're alone,
a true friend won't ever leave you on your own.
A true friend is proud to be your friend,
a true friend will walk a mile just to make amend.
A true friend will hold your hand though thick and thin,
a true friend will go anywhere with you, even a trashbin.
A true friend will always smile to see you smile too,
a true friend will forget all problems just to be with you.
A true friend shows you true love,
a true friend forgets all to take you above.
A true friend won't ever regret,
a true friend will love you from sunrise to sunset.
A true friend will never let you down... simply because she'll always be around.

I all of a sudden forgot how tired I was, my messy room, the clothes that had to be washed, the phone calls that needed to be made, the emails that were begging to be answered, the pile of never ending papers that had to be organized...and all I could think of was that I wanted to tell the whole world of how lucky I was to have a friend, a true friend. I now know I won't remember this day as the tiring and gruelsome day it was but yes as a special day - because my friend made my day!!! Love you hon....always.


P.S. I am jealous of your writting ablities... I could never even get close to writing a poem like that. Nao vale :P
