Good news: Ximena is back!!!!!!!!!!! I missed her SOOOOOOOOOOOOO much!!! She went off south for a five day vacation and today she at last came back :D I missed her more than I thought I would and felt sad for having to refuse her countless invitations to travel along with her, but hey, cash is a hard thing to come your way and when it usually does come around I like it to stick for as long as possible - in my safe and secure bank account!
Forgot to tell... Jones is traveling to Paris, Portugal and Italy for a month next year in March along with his sister and mother. In October he will be going to Canada to once again spend a month there - though this time on his own lonesome self.
My brother is starting to pack and organize his trip to Paraguay/Argentina in which he will travel to next month. He has never been on a plane (quite the opposite from me!) and is all excited and looking like a little boy counting the days to be able to open his Christmas present under the tree. The rest of us are all aprehensive - specially mom.
Tucked away in my bag are two more books - not novels this time - because as much as I do love to read novels, I also quite enjoy other more practical reading material and try to vary as much as possible my reading list. Alfred was completely taken aback when I told him that I would read two to three books a week ranging from 200-500 pages each. He asked me what was the next book on my list and I answered him saying: "depends which student lends me what book." With that he got up and went to his office where he opened his bookcase and told me to choose any book I wanted to read - yay! Being that this was only his second class with me I must declare that I was touched. I chose "Viva Melhor Sem Dividas" from Louis Frankenberg and "Investimentos" from Mauro Halfeld. The class ended superbly by him ofering me a ride all the way back home and closing the deal for me to give classes to his girlfriend!!! I inwardly jumped for joy :D :D :D
Right now I am watching the rescue effort in Chile and so will leave this post here as it is.
