They're HERE!!!!!!

And so today is 29th of December and I will be on hollidays until the 8th of January which is when Dan and Lei return back to Rio.
Today they arrived at the airport and me and Daddy Boo went to pick them up. We had a little scare on the way as the car decided to have a tantrum but Daddy corrected it and thankfully (and to my BIG relief!) it decided to behave and I arrived just as their plane was landing - HURRAH!
My blog will change a bit it's style and it's going now to act a bit more like a "diary" with a WHOLE lot more pictures (since I only post pictures of my students with their explicit permission) and so that's another reason for this little temporary "blog change".
Back to today's story: My Dan's face lit up as soon as she saw me and Lani did one of her wild "I am so happy moves" - above is the picture we took at the airport with our "caras amassadas". We arrive home and my whole family meets the famous DeDe (that's how they call her - as they pronounce DD in Portuguese - which is her nickname). My sister impressed me as she left her shyness behind and as was to be expected  my brother started talking about health and "naturologia" (health/vegan doctor stuff).
My poor Dan is all run down taking a bunch of pills - poor love!!! Lani is "cheio de gas" wanting to go out clubbing tonight...well, considering that we will be in a beach town for four days straight partying on New Year' clubbing certainly isn't the best option, heh!
I was pleasantly surprised as Dan and Lani had brunch with us and didn't complain about the fact that they are now going to turn into vegetarians for the whole period that they are here in my house - yep, we are a vegetarian family! fazer o que, ne? They pilled their plates with soy bread, cheese and tomato sandwiches plus yogurt with cashew nuts, peanuts, raisins, prunes, sesamee seeds and oats. yummssss
Now they are blissfully sleeping away and I am looking like the grinch with green clay (argila) on my face and doing my own manicure job. Yesterday they caught their flight past midnight and only arrived here at 8:30 am - fail! But it's good that they are replenishing their energies as tonight is already planned: bikini shopping at the beach market, come back home and play Monopoly while eating a new delicious wine/grape pave (cold pie) that is anxiously waiting to go inside our tummies! yummssssssss
